Activity
The aim of this activity is for students to learn about standard drinks and low risk
drinking limits. More information on standard drinks and guidelines can be found in the
teacher and students summaries for this lesson.
Format
Class activity
Split the class into 2 groups. Ask each group to form a queue in front of
the whiteboard and give them a copy of the standard drinks chart.
Give each student at the front a marker and read out the questions from the
Teacher notes on next 2 pages. The front person has to race to the board and
write the correct answer on the board before the other front person. Then they
return to their queue but go to the back, handing the pen to the new front person.
Preparation
Print two standard drinks charts and a copy of the Teacher’s Notes found on
the following two pages.

Two standard drinks charts and one copy of the Teacher’s Notes.
